Gretna Green is a small village in South-west Scotland and our parent company – Gretna Green Ltd. Family-owners of the Famous Blacksmiths Shop since 1885 and the builder of Smiths Hotel in 2005, they are also the proud owners of Greens at Gretna Hotel, Gretna Hall Historic Marriage House and Hotel, th Old Toll Bar and the Canny Scot Shop, located in Gretna Services on the M74.

Smiths hotel is located just minutes from the England/Scotland border and therefore is just a short 10-minute drive to Carlisle; with direct rail and bus links also available from Gretna Green village.

Equally, we are perfectly placed for accommodation near Longtown; if you are looking to visit the nearby Longtown MOD base.

Gretna is a 10-15 minute walk to the town centre and the Gretna Gateway Shopping Outlet. Other popular towns and villages including Dumfries, Lockerbie and the Lake District towns of Keswick and Windermere are also just a bus, train or drive away.
